My name is Janko Jovanovic and I am a Software Engineer, UI designer, blogger and artist. I started programming in 1989 working in Clipper ’87 and dBase III+ database. I have been involved in over 50 different projects since then. Today, my work is focused on designing web user interfaces. This involves sketching, wireframing, prototyping, testing and developing user interfaces. I work mostly according to agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
Besides this, I also speak at public events in my region, usually about web development and design. I am happily married to Milica and a proud father of little Mateja and baby Sofija.
Why warp speed?
I'm not a geek who adores SF if that was your first thought, although I love space exploration. Warp speed is an ideal metaphor for my life and work. Shortly, warp speed represents the speed faster than light. Although not yet accepted by science, it is indeed an interesting concept which I use to achieve my goals :)
About blog in warp speed
I started this blog in the beginning of 2008 with the idea to provide high quality content in the area of web develoment and design. Since I write about things that I do at my work, I slightly shifted focus. I write about user experience in general, especially user interface design and usability but there are also a ton of tutorials, mostly explaining jQuery & CSS. I've also published many freebies including Sketching^Wireframing Kit and several icon sets among which Handycons sets are the most popular.
