Janko At Warp Speed reached 1000+ subscribers!

1000subscribers After four months of blogging Janko At Warp Speed broke the boundary of 1000 subscribers. Another milestone that this blog celebrates is 200,000+ visits! All this came as another great celebration this month since my baby daughter was born 15 days ago!

I needed to write a few words to thank all my readers and visitors. One thing is for sure - this couldn't be done without your comments, emails, constructive criticism and all your help.

Thank you!

This is an important milestone for me because I am sure I am on the right path and I can determine my future goals more precisely. I don't know where this blog will be in the future but I'll do my best to keep writing even more and even better! [More]

Some interesting facts

Subscribers

feedcompare

Btw, according to FeedAnalyzer next year I'll have more than 260,000 subscribers. "This time next year I'll be a millionaire" ;-) Let's be real - this is not going to happen.

Visits

google1

Due to the fact that I am very busy at work as well as home, I wrote only 30 articles (excluding this one) in the first four months. But that was obviously enough to get more than 200,000 visits. These are the stats for top five articles.

Enhance your input fields with simple CSS tricks (79,162 views)

CSS Message Boxes for different message types (58,784 views)

Make fancy buttons using CSS sliding doors technique (53,435 views)

How to create web application user interface that looks like Outlook (16,331 views)

Building a better web forms: Context highlighting using jQuery (10,986)

Comments

At the time I write this there are 574 comments, which means there are more than 19 comments per post. Which is more than great!

Browsers

One very interesting and surprising fact I discovered is that more than 80% of visitors use Firefox browser (any version) and only 13 percent use IE (any version). And I could have bet the difference would be smaller.

Traffic sources

Top traffic sources are StumbleUpon, DZone, DotNetKicks, AjaxRain and Del.icio.us (and not to mention Google). Recently I started to get a significant trafic from woork.com and noupe.com. Check out my profile and add me on StumbleUpon or Dzone or DotNetKicks or Del.icio.us. Btw, did you know that I'm Dzone's most valuable blogger (H) ?

Have your say!

I encourage you to write comments and suggestions as you did so far. Please let me know if there is anything you liked here. You can also write about what would you like to read here in the future!

At the end, if you are not a subscriber, why don't you subscribe?

Congratulations Janko: you doubled your subscribers after your article about CSSing forms.
I guess webdesign articles pay more than ASP.NET ones since that way you are read also by the anti-MS fanboys Smile(D)

Simone, thank you! Design articles are indeed more popular than ASP.NET related. But important thing is that many ASP.NET developers are interested in improving their UIs and user experience. I'd like to make them more comfortable with design/css/etc..

And that was exaclty what I wanted to do - to write about design and develpment as well, regardless of technology Tong

Great job. I find several of your articles very helpful. I too used to do a lot of asp/asp.net programming on top of design work.

One advice though, keep your content original. Don't fall for the List Posts too much.

Jin, thanks. There are many reasons for publishing list posts - sharing quality posts, getting more people interested and so on.
