A look back at 2008 and plans for 2009

This year was very stressful but also succesful for me. If you wonder why, let me just tell you major things that happened to me in past twelve months. I got daughter, sleepless nights and jealous older on; changed my job;  my wife and I moved (with two kids this can be hell, believe me); had five public speeches (Microsoft MSDN Day, Microsoft WebFu and .NET User Group in Belgrade); thanks to Schalk Neethling I bacame MVB at Dzone; finished enormous number of projects and, of course, started this blog.

So, no wonder I was in a warp speed after all?

Plans for 2009

I plan to rest more. That's my ultimate goal. But this doesn't mean I will stop working or blogging. Just opposite, by prioritizing my tasks and taking a rest when needed, I will have much more time to focus on blog and some things that were neglected.

Regarding JankoAtWarpSpeed there are certain things I will definitively do:

  • Start "Learn ASP.NET from scratch" series
  • Write more about jQuery, because I am really fascinated by this library
  • Write more tutorials on web development/design topics
  • Create several more themes for BlogEngine.NET

Beside things I mentioned, there will be much more, but let's leave it for next year :-) Still, I'm open for suggestions. So, if you are interested in some topic, please let me know.

There is only one more thing I'd like to do in 2008:

THANK YOU, RAEDERS!

Your comments, suggestions and criticism really helped this blog, enabled me to learn more and meet new people!

Have a nice holidays and a Happy New Year!

Like the idea of taking more rest. Will try it myself too!
More structure and not 'only working'.

Good luck in 2009!
